PARTAKERS OF DIVINE NATURE

AwakenportalDivinityEric.gif

Divinity is something that we are involved with and it is essential we understand it best. One thing that makes it something of much consideration is that we, as believers, have our hands on deck in making up the Godhead. “We are partakers of the divine nature.” – 2 Peter 1:4. This Divine nature extends from God to men. Whether the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are three distinct entities but merge together as one in a mysterious way, is one controversial dogma yet to be fully unveiled. The word “Trinity”, which is quite unbiblical, has been used as the best connotation for the triune God. Some who are unable to give a full explanation of the truth about the Godhead buttress their claims with the verse Paul wrote in first Timothy that “great is the mystery of godliness. – 1 Timothy 3:16. With this stark thinking faculties are shut up and fail to reason out by scriptures into the actuality of the Godhead. They refuse to probe any further on issues concerning Divinity. This trend has left several Christians in a state of shallow mindedness on issues concerning who God really is. [For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:7 NKJV] The Holy Spirit, Jesus and the Father have one purpose and their purpose is to manifest (make plain, establish, demonstrate, display, reveal, show, exhibit, express) God. Jesus is manifesting God; the Holy Ghost is manifesting God and the Father, manifesting God. The purpose of the trio is to be (manifest) God. “God” is the purpose, the function and the reason. Jesus Christ walked on the earth as man and displayed the full extent of God. Jesus extended this ability to function as God to them that believe in Him. [And the glory which you gave me I have given them, that they may be one just as we are one: - John 17: 23 NKJV] We are one In Christ in functioning as God.
