THE EARLY MORNING WATCH

And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me (Ex 9:13). The morning watch is the mouth of the day. It establishes the occurrences in the day. If anyone can bless his day or curse it, it will be determined by the morning. Scripture declares: Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! When the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. (Micah 2:1-2). Wicked and Evil men, who take other peoples possession in the day, do it in the morning. The morning has a womb where declarations are implanted to ‘birth’ in the day. Psalms 110:3 says: Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. From the opening scripture, we see that Moses had been given a mandate by God to take his people out of Egypt into the promise land. To declare this God-given mandate to pharaoh, he rose early in the morning to make the declaration. Pharaoh by his understanding of the morning also undertook a certain activity by the river in the morning. Scripture declares: Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he (Pharaoh) goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand (Exodus 7:15). Beloved of God, things don’t just happen! The believer must not be a victim. In your hands is the ability to determine the course of events in your day. Awake from your slumber and take over the course of your life. Observe the morning watch. Rise up early, establish by words of power into the womb of the morning what you seek to be birthed in your day and there shall be a successful delivery. Walk in this reality. Shalom!
