MINISTERING SEED

“Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” – 2 Corinthians 9:10 (KJV). God always ministers seed to the sower and not to the eater. God knows very well that the sower always sows seeds whilst the eater always satisfies himself or herself with his seeds. Every viable seed has the potential to grow to become a tree and bear much fruits. The fruits are meant for consumption whilst the seeds are meant for sowing. “And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow.” - Matthew 13:3 (KJV). Sowers always go forth to sow even as the Lord ministers seeds to them. Eaters, on the other hand, consume every seed that God ministers to them. Are you a sower or an eater of seeds? Bread is obtained when sown seeds fully mature to produce fruits. “This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you.” - 2 Corinthians 9:10 (MSG). It is your sown seeds that become bread for you. It is therefore illegal for a man to eat bread when his hand has not sown any seed. Listen, God will only give us our daily bread after we have sown the seeds that he has ministers to us (Matthew 6:11KJV). Amen! The Bible tells us in John 12:24 that “except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” Until your seed (corn of wheat) has died in the ground by sowing there is no way fruits can be obtained. I Corinthians chapter 9 verse 7 makes us to understand that until a man has planted a vineyard, he is not permitted to eat thereof. No wonder that even God himself demands fruits from a man after he has ministered seeds to that man. What seeds have you sown that you are demanding fruits thereof? Again, from the opening scripture we understand from it that God only multiplies the sown seeds and increases the fruits of the sown seeds. He cannot do anything to the seed that has been eaten. The multiplication of the sown seeds has a corresponding effect in the fruits that will be harvested. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” - Galatians 6:7 (KJV). God has nothing to multiply in a man’s life when he consumes his seeds. This basic principle is the root cause of poverty in the lives of many believers. Please understand that the only difference between the rich believer and the poor believer is based on what each of them eats. Whilst the rich believer sows his seeds and eats his fruits, the believer who wants to be poor eats his seeds and therefore has nothing to sow for future harvest. Failure to sow seeds in the sowing season prepares a man for no harvest during the harvest season which leads to poverty. Your hope for a bountiful harvest is directly proportional to the seeds you have sown. Beloved of God, prepare yourself to enjoy a far exceeding harvest even as you make time to sow good and viable seeds on a fertile ground. Halleluiah! Finally, Brethren in the Lord, you must exercise patience (consistency) after you have sown your seeds. Take note that the viability of your seed and the fertility of the ground on which the seeds were sown affect your harvest. “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” - Luke 8:15 (KJV). Seeds bring forth fruits with patience even on the good grounds. It is the diligent farmer with patience who gets the produce from sown seeds (2 Timothy 2:6 MSG). Every tree is known by his fruits (Luke 6:44 & Matthew 12:33). The fruits you bear will tell us the amount of seeds you sowed. You are the direct product of your seeds. What then is a seed? A seed is anything that you receive from the Lord. A seed is sown when you give back to God what he has given to you. Do not play with your tithes, all kinds of offerings and special seeds to the man of God who blesses and watches over your soul. All these form part of your sown seeds. Sow seeds and eat fruits. Shalom!
