MANISFESTING THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT
The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal (1Corinthians 12:7 KJV). Many believers desire to operate in the gracious spiritual gifts that they see great men of God mightily move in. As you are a new creation in Christ, the grace to manifest spiritual gift is inside you and available for your use. All you have to do is to stir it up in consciousness, and you will vitally begin to walk in them. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:4-8: I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way; in all your speaking and in all your knowledge because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. You build up your sensitivity and consciousness spiritually by speaking in tongues (Jude 1:20). Scripture explains that strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:14). This also means that vitally, the manifestation of the spirit is seen when you consciously nurture what you have, to make sure it grows. There is the wisdom of God for every gift of the spirit. And for you to explode vitally in any gifting that you desire, you must access the wisdom of God in His word concerning that gifting. This comes by separation and a conscious search in the word of God. The Bible says that through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom (Proverbs 18:1). One thing that may hinder you in this pursuit is fear (2 Timothy 1:6-7); and this fear can cause the grace of God in you to remain dormant. Scripture declares: Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh for the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken (Proverbs 3:25-26). Again Paul admonishes us to covet earnestly the best gifts (1 Corinthians 12:31). You may desire to organize crusades in huge stadia where you’ll pull cripples out of wheelchairs, raise dead bodies and perform other mind-blowing miracles but if you are afraid to even pray for headaches to go, what shows that if you are given that opportunity in the stadium, you won’t cower in fear? Have you ever seen an athlete who does not train for a race yet goes to race on the final day? Such an athlete will certainly loose. Why? Because he did not take time off to stir up that ability and gather momentum for the big day. Lots of believers are like that. They just make a mental assent and tell themselves that when the day comes, they will perform mighty signs and wonders. God’s desire is that none of His children would lack in any of the gifts that He has freely made available and accessible to all. Start off today desiring the gifts of the spirit, access the wisdom of God in the word concerning it; stir it up by the avenue of prayer (speaking in tongues in consciousness). Start practicing how to handle the small issues; as you build your confidence and capacity by this, even the big cases begin to look insignificant to you. The life of the believer must be with Power! Shalom!
